Building upon the cultural legacy of the African American tradition in concert dance, DIW gives students in the Youth Repertory Ensemble the chance to work with local and national choreographers in various disciplines of dance. This experience provides students the opportunity to develop their skills. The ensemble is designed to cultivate the strength, confidence and performance skills of participating youth as they explore new ideas in showmanship, dance, storytelling, music, acting and visual arts.
